HPE, NVIDIA, and SHI Unveil AI Platforms for Industry Transformations

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and NVIDIA have unveiled a suite of new AI factory offerings at the HPE Discover conference in Las Vegas, aimed at accelerating artificial intelligence adoption across various industries. These offerings encompass modular AI infrastructure, pre-integrated turnkey solutions, and a broad array of AI services to help enterprises transition their AI projects from concept to production more efficiently. At the heart of this launch is the NVIDIA AI Computing by HPE portfolio, which integrates NVIDIA's cutting-edge hardware and software with HPE's comprehensive server, storage, and software lineup. Key components include NVIDIA Blackwell accelerated computing, NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet and BlueField-3 networking technologies, and NVIDIA AI Enterprise software. Additionally, HPE's OpsRamp Software, a validated observability solution, and HPE Morpheus Enterprise Software for orchestration have been included. This combination results in a highly flexible and scalable infrastructure stack that streamlines the deployment of generative, agentic, and industrial AI, enabling businesses to operationalize AI more quickly. Among the new products is the HPE Private Cloud AI, a co-engineered platform with NVIDIA designed to support a variety of AI applications. This platform incorporates the latest HPE ProLiant Compute DL380a Gen12 servers equipped with NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs, which serve as a universal data center platform for numerous AI use cases. HPE Private Cloud AI includes the latest NVIDIA AI Blueprints, such as the AI-Q Blueprint for creating and managing AI agents. HPE also introduced the HPE Compute XD690, a new system built using NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs, which is set to be part of the NVIDIA AI Computing by HPE lineup and is expected to ship in October. This system, along with others in the portfolio, will further enhance HPE's position in providing AI solutions that meet the growing demands of the market. In a notable partnership, KDDI, a major telecommunications company in Japan, is collaborating with HPE to build NVIDIA AI infrastructure at the KDDI Osaka Sakai Data Center. The system will be based on the NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 platform, utilizing the NVIDIA Grace Blackwell architecture. HPE is also addressing the financial services sector by collaborating with Accenture to co-test agentic AI workflows on HPE Private Cloud AI. Initial applications include tasks such as sourcing, procurement, and risk analysis. Security and governance are integral to these offerings, with features like air-gapped management, multi-tenancy, and post-quantum cryptography ensuring robust protection and compliance. To further catalyze AI adoption, HPE has expanded its "Unleash AI" ecosystem by adding 26 new partners, bringing the total number of packaged AI workloads to over 70. These workloads cover a wide spectrum of use cases from fraud detection and video analytics to sovereign AI and cybersecurity. HPE has also initiated several new programs, including AI Acceleration Workshops conducted in collaboration with NVIDIA, to assist enterprises in scaling their AI deployments. Adding to the ecosystem is SHI International, one of North America's leading IT solutions providers. SHI has launched its Digital AI Ambassador Development Platform, developed in close partnership with NVIDIA and HPE. This platform leverages HPE Private Cloud AI and NVIDIA's AI technologies to enable businesses to design, build, and deploy custom AI-powered digital humans in a matter of six weeks, significantly reducing the typical development cycle of 12 to 18 months. The service aims to enhance customer engagement and streamline interactions through hyper-realistic digital human avatars, with applications ranging from retail concierge services to healthcare intake assistance and financial advisory support. Jack Hogan, Vice President of Advanced Growth Technologies at SHI, emphasized the importance of this platform: "Complexity and long development cycles have been major barriers to more engaging, human-like AI interactions. Our Digital AI Ambassador Development Platform provides a true end-to-end solution, allowing enterprises to enhance customer experiences and realize tangible results far faster." This rapid development is possible thanks to SHI's AI & Cyber Labs services, which include pre-validated NVIDIA AI Blueprints and access to NVIDIA NIM microservices. Robin Braun, VP of AI Business Development at HPE, highlighted the significance of robust, secure, and agile infrastructure: "HPE Private Cloud AI provides a validated, turnkey, full-stack AI infrastructure, enabling innovative solutions like SHI’s Digital AI Ambassador Development Platform to be deployed quickly and confidently." Craig Weinstein, Vice President of Business Development at NVIDIA, added that AI agent ambassadors can help scale customer engagement and connection, combining the precision of AI agents with the adaptability of personalized service. The SHI-delivered Digital AI Ambassador Development Platform supports a diverse range of applications and industries. Attendees at HPE Discover, held from June 23-26 in Las Vegas, had the opportunity to see a live demonstration of SHI's Digital AI Ambassador, Kira, at Booth 2010. This showcase highlights the potential of these technologies to transform customer interactions and business operations. In summary, the joint initiatives by HPE and NVIDIA are designed to make AI more accessible and practical for enterprises. By providing modular, pre-integrated solutions and expanding their partner ecosystem, they aim to address the challenges of complexity and long development cycles. Industry insiders praise these efforts for bringing advanced AI capabilities to market more quickly, fostering innovation and enhancing customer experiences. SHI International Corp., with a valuation of $15 billion, serves over 15,000 customers worldwide and is the largest Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) in the U.S. Known for its transformational technology solutions, SHI continues to drive innovation through collaborations like the Digital AI Ambassador Development Platform.
