Pillar Security, a leading AI security company, has announced the appointment of Brandon Dixon as a Strategic Advisor to its Advisory Board. Based in Miami, the company said Dixon brings extensive experience in both cybersecurity innovation and enterprise product development to the role. Dixon is a recognized leader in the security and AI space, having co-founded PassiveTotal, a pioneering threat intelligence platform that was acquired by RiskIQ. He played a central role in shaping the company’s product strategy and later helped lead its acquisition by Microsoft. Most recently, he served as Security AI Strategist at Microsoft, where he led the development and launch of Microsoft Security Copilot and drove key advancements in Defender Threat Intelligence and External Attack Surface Management. “Brandon embodies the exact blend of entrepreneurial vision and enterprise operational excellence that defines our approach at Pillar,” said Dor Sarig, CEO and Co-founder of Pillar Security. “His experience building Microsoft Security Copilot from the ground up gives him unique insight into both the opportunities and challenges enterprises face when deploying AI. This expertise will be instrumental as we accelerate our mission to help companies build trust in their AI systems.” Dixon expressed enthusiasm about joining Pillar, stating, “I’m excited to join Pillar's journey. This team has built something truly differentiated—a foundational security platform that understands AI systems at their core. Pillar's team has that rare combination of deep security expertise and AI innovation that will define the next generation of enterprise security. They're not just keeping pace with AI evolution—they're anticipating where AI threats will emerge and building proactive defenses today.” Elias Manousos, lead investor at Shield Capital and former Corporate Vice President at Microsoft responsible for AI Copilot for Security and Threat Intelligence, praised Dixon’s appointment. “Few people understand the intersection of AI and security as deeply as Brandon,” he said. “He has been at the forefront of two of the biggest shifts in cybersecurity: the rise of threat intelligence and the emergence of AI-driven security operations. That expertise will be invaluable as Pillar scales its platform to meet the explosive demand for AI security solutions.” This strategic hire follows recent momentum for Pillar Security, including the appointment of Jenna Raby, a veteran in go-to-market strategy, as SVP of Growth. Pillar Security is a seed-funded company focused on securing AI systems across their entire lifecycle. Its platform offers AI Discovery, AI Security Posture Management (AI-SPM), AI Red Teaming, and Adaptive Runtime Guardrails to help organizations prevent data leakage, mitigate AI-specific threats, and meet evolving regulatory requirements.
