NTT DATA and Mistral AI Partner to Deliver Secure, Private, and Sustainable Enterprise AI Solutions
NTT DATA and Mistral AI have announced a strategic partnership to develop sustainable and secure private AI solutions tailored for enterprises, emphasizing data privacy and strategic autonomy. The collaboration combines NTT DATA’s extensive generative AI (GenAI) and IT services portfolio, global delivery capabilities, and deep industry expertise with Mistral AI’s high-performance open-weight generative AI models and end-to-end infrastructure solutions. The initiative focuses on creating enterprise-grade AI systems that prioritize safety, scalability, and compliance, particularly for sectors with stringent data governance requirements. NTT DATA will establish a Mistral AI Center of Excellence, staffed with specialists and dedicated resources, to drive innovation. Mistral AI will also implement a technical enablement and certification program for NTT DATA employees, ensuring seamless integration of its models into client workflows. Abhijit Dubey, CEO and Chief AI Officer of NTT DATA, Inc., highlighted the partnership’s alignment with the company’s mission to deliver responsible AI that supports client success. “By combining Mistral AI’s advanced models with our Smart AI Agent™ Ecosystem, we can ensure secure, scalable, and sustainable AI deployments for enterprises worldwide,” he said. Arthur Mensch, CEO of Mistral AI, emphasized the importance of the collaboration in advancing real-world applications of AI, especially for organizations prioritizing data privacy. One of the first joint projects involves Dennemeyer, a global intellectual property (IP) management company, which has partnered with the two firms to build an AI-powered tool for advanced patent searches and analyses. The solution will enable secure execution of AI workloads, addressing critical needs in the IP sector. Brochmann Laurent, Dennemeyer’s Global Chief Digital Officer, noted the company’s commitment to digital transformation and its reliance on partners with deep AI expertise. Another early initiative is the co-development of a sovereign AI platform in Luxembourg, targeting regulated financial services and insurance industries. Olivier Posty, Head of France and Luxembourg at NTT DATA, described this as a “landmark opportunity” to accelerate AI adoption in these sectors. The platform will provide a full-stack solution for hosting sensitive financial applications, ensuring compliance with local regulations. Mistral AI, a French-based pioneer in generative AI, focuses on open-source models and decentralized technology to democratize AI access. Its solutions emphasize efficiency, performance, and enterprise empowerment, supported by Mistral Compute infrastructure. NTT DATA, a $30+ billion global innovator, serves 75% of the Fortune Global 100 and invests over $3.6 billion annually in R&D to drive digital transformation. The company’s expertise spans AI, consulting, and infrastructure, with operations in more than 50 countries. This partnership underscores the growing demand for private, secure AI systems as enterprises seek to balance innovation with regulatory and ethical considerations. By leveraging Mistral AI’s cutting-edge models and NTT DATA’s global reach, the collaboration aims to address complex challenges in industries requiring strict data control and compliance. Both companies stress their commitment to maintaining independence while delivering transformative AI solutions.
