Safe Pro Signs MOUs with Ondas Holdings and Unusual Machines to Advance AI-Powered Drone Safety Tech for Defense and Global Markets

Safe Pro Group Inc. (Nasdaq: SPAI), a leader in AI-powered defense and security solutions, has announced strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with two major players in the U.S. drone industry: Ondas Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: ONDS) and Unusual Machines Inc. (NYSE: UMAC). The agreements follow recent strategic investments by both companies into Safe Pro Group, completed on August 21, 2025, and aim to accelerate the adoption of drone-based AI technology across defense, public safety, commercial, and humanitarian markets. Under the MOUs, Safe Pro will collaborate with Ondas and Unusual Machines to integrate its patented AI-powered computer vision and drone imagery analysis technologies into their hardware and software platforms. A key component of this effort is Safe Pro’s Safe Pro Object Threat Detection (SPOTD) technology, which is designed to rapidly identify over 150 types of small, hard-to-detect threats—including landmines, anti-personnel mines, cluster munitions, and unexploded ordnance. The technology can operate in real time on edge devices via the SPOTD NODE or leverage cloud-based processing through Amazon Web Services (AWS) via the SpotlightAI platform. This dual capability enables scalable deployment for both immediate battlefield use and large-scale humanitarian demining operations. Safe Pro’s AI models are trained on a unique dataset comprising more than 1.78 million high-resolution drone images and GPS-tagged geospatial data. To date, the system has identified over 31,600 threats across 7,819 hectares (19,321 acres) in Ukraine—demonstrating its real-world effectiveness in high-risk environments. More details on these detections are available at https://safeproai.com/landmine-detections/. Dan Erdberg, Chairman and CEO of Safe Pro Group, emphasized the strategic importance of the partnerships: “This marks a powerful step forward as we join forces with Ondas and Unusual Machines—two of the most dynamic innovators shaping America’s drone future. Together, we’re not just advancing technology; we’re empowering customers to accomplish their most critical missions while safeguarding civilian lives.” Eric Brock, Chairman and CEO of Ondas Holdings, highlighted the proven performance of Safe Pro’s technology in Ukraine: “Safe Pro’s AI-powered computer vision has already demonstrated its value on the front lines. We believe it can significantly enhance our ecosystem of drone-based solutions and deliver real impact across military and commercial applications.” Dr. Allan Evans, Chairman and CEO of Unusual Machines, added: “Our mission is to build a global powerhouse in American drone innovation. By integrating Safe Pro’s AI threat detection with our drone hardware and components, we’re creating a powerful, export-ready solution that can protect soldiers and civilians alike—while expanding U.S.-made AI and drone technology worldwide.” The collaboration aligns with broader industry trends, including the rapid growth of the global drone accessories market, projected to reach $115 billion by 2032 according to Fact.MR. Safe Pro Group’s cloud-based, AWS-powered platform is designed to serve multiple sectors, including government, law enforcement, commercial, and humanitarian operations, where its AI software, protective gear, and drone response services work in concert to enhance safety and efficiency.
