Intruder Unveils GregAI: The AI Security Analyst with Full Platform Visibility

Intruder, a leader in attack surface management, has introduced GregAI, an AI-powered security analyst designed to provide comprehensive visibility into users’ security environments. The tool, now available in beta, aims to streamline vulnerability management and executive reporting by integrating directly with Intruder’s exposure management platform. Unlike generic AI assistants, GregAI leverages real-time data from the platform to deliver tailored security insights, helping small and under-resourced teams address vulnerabilities more efficiently while maintaining strong cybersecurity defenses. Security teams often struggle with overwhelming volumes of vulnerability data and limited resources. Manual tasks like validating risks, assessing threats, and communicating findings to stakeholders consume valuable time that could be redirected toward remediation. GregAI addresses these challenges by combining AI-driven analysis with up-to-date platform data to automate and optimize workflows. “Every minute spent on cumbersome tools is a minute not spent on patching,” said Chris Wallis, Intruder’s CEO and founder. “GregAI is built to make cybersecurity more accessible and efficient, offering actionable guidance based on your unique environment and risks rather than generic advice.” GregAI’s core advantage is its deep integration with Intruder’s platform, granting it access to security infrastructure details, scan results, external threat intelligence, and compliance frameworks. This allows the AI to generate context-specific recommendations. For example, a user could ask, “Show me critical vulnerabilities in our web apps and prioritize them by exploitability and business impact,” and receive responses tailored to their specific setup. The tool focuses on four key areas where manual processes often slow teams: issue prioritization, vulnerability validation, remediation guidance, and executive reporting. For validation, GregAI offers step-by-step instructions for reproducing detected issues, such as “Guide me through reproducing the SQL injection vulnerability,” with guidance aligned to the user’s technology stack. Automated reporting is another critical feature. GregAI simplifies stakeholder communication by generating summaries and progress reports using actual platform data. A team might request, “Summarize our vulnerabilities and cyber hygiene progress over the past three months for leadership,” and the AI would compile a concise, data-driven response. For remediation, it provides actionable steps specific to the user’s infrastructure, avoiding one-size-fits-all solutions. Intruder’s broader AI vision includes evolving GregAI into a fully autonomous virtual security analyst. Future updates will enable the tool to execute platform actions—such as initiating scans, adding targets, or managing workflows—via natural language commands, reducing reliance on manual interface navigation. “Our goal is to empower lean security teams with a virtual analyst that handles complex tasks,” said Andy Hornegold, Intruder’s vice president of product. “We’re already working on automated false positive validation and other AI-driven features to free up time for teams to focus on critical work.” GregAI is accessible to free trial users and customers on Intruder’s Cloud, Pro, and Enterprise plans. Organizations can interact with the tool directly within the Intruder platform, eliminating the need for external tools. Further details about its capabilities and implementation are available on Intruder’s blog. Founded in 2015 by Chris Wallis, a former ethical hacker turned corporate security specialist, Intruder’s platform helps teams proactively identify and address attack surface weaknesses. The company currently protects over 3,000 organizations globally.
