APQC Elects Salima Lin to Board of Directors Houston—APQC, the leading authority in benchmarking and best practices, has announced the appointment of Salima Lin, Managing Partner of Strategy, M&A, Transformation, and Thought Leadership at IBM Consulting, to its board of directors. Lin, known for her advocacy of benchmarking and thought leadership as essential business strategies, aligns closely with APQC’s mission to promote quality and process improvement. “Salima Lin is a perfect addition to the APQC board of directors as we continue to evolve,” says Carla O’Dell, APQC’s chair of the board. “Her strong belief in benchmarking and thought leadership as strategic business tools is particularly timely as we launch our Global Thought Leadership Institute (GTLI). The institute aims to set standards, deliver value, and build performance benchmarks for organizations that produce thought leadership.” IBM, a global leader in hybrid cloud and AI solutions, has been a longtime collaborator with APQC, contributing to the development of the Open Standards Benchmarking Collaborative. As part of her role at IBM, Lin leads the IBM Institute for Business Value, which ranks first in thought leadership quality by Source Global and has earned multiple awards for its evidence-based research. “I am deeply honored to join APQC’s Board of Directors,” Lin states. “I look forward to supporting the Center’s mission to enhance the strategic use of benchmarking and to exploring the exciting possibilities presented by the Global Thought Leadership Institute.” With over 25 years of experience in management consulting and leadership, Lin has advised many Fortune 500 companies on business and operating strategies, organizational transformations, new business models, and process improvements. Her educational background includes a master’s degree in health policy and administration from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration and biology from Simon Fraser University.
