AI Innovation Tour: Huaqiao University Students Visit Jingxi Intelligence Valley
To further implement the national strategy for an education powerhouse and the “Artificial Intelligence +” initiative, and to promote deeper integration among education, industry, research, and application, the Guanghua School of Artificial Intelligence organized a field visit to Jingxi Smart Valley Innovation Park in Mentougou District on January 7. The activity, themed “Feeling the Pulse of Innovation, Inspiring the Future of Intelligence,” aimed to help students gain firsthand insight into cutting-edge developments in artificial intelligence and smart manufacturing, connecting classroom learning with national strategies and real-world industrial practices, and nurturing high-level innovative talents for the future. The team began their visit at the Jingxi Smart Valley exhibition hall, where they gained a comprehensive understanding of the park’s strategic positioning and achievements in artificial intelligence, digital economy, and related sectors. They then toured Iceland Lab, experiencing the company’s innovative approaches in new business models and emerging industries. At Tashan Technology, participants explored the company’s technological advancements in robot touch-sensitive chips and its practical applications in intelligent systems. At Zizhi Engine, the group engaged in an open and stimulating dialogue with senior management on student entrepreneurship. Graduating students from the class of 2025—Long Jinqiang, He Xiaolong, and Zhao Yiming—shared their personal startup journeys. The session sparked active discussion, with students asking thoughtful questions about technology commercialization, interdisciplinary collaboration, and career planning. The exchange was dynamic and intellectually rich, fostering meaningful dialogue between academia and industry. The visit not only established a valuable platform for dialogue between the university and enterprises but also allowed faculty and students to experience the vitality of technological innovation and the rapid pace of industrial development. Participants expressed that interacting directly with industry professionals and witnessing real-world applications of AI significantly deepened their understanding of emerging technologies and inspired new reflections on their academic paths and future goals. The Guanghua School of Artificial Intelligence remains committed to practice-based education, actively expanding access to high-quality external resources to support student development. Going forward, the school will continue organizing such activities, further bridging theory and practice, and empowering young scholars to contribute their wisdom and energy to the nation’s mission of building a strong science and technology power.
